5 Steps to Finding More Study Resources for Your Lesson on LDS.org

Have you ever studied all the study materials for a Come, Follow Me lesson and none of them felt right? Maybe you feel like you used those materials the last time you taught that lesson?

First of all, you’re not limited to the study resources in the lesson outline. Any church-approved resource is perfectly fine to use for your lesson. I prepared this tutorial for those of you who might not know how to find more resources on LDS.org.

Use the Search Box on the Upper Right Corner

First, go to the search box in the upper right corner of the home page for LDS.org.

Enter in Your Topic

Enter in the topic of your lesson. For this, I entered in ordinances. As you can see, it suggested some variations on my search.

Look Through the Search Results

Next, you look through the search results for materials that work for your class.

Filter the Search Results

If you’re looking for something specific, like a scripture, a video, an image, or a conference talk, you can filter the results by clicking on the menu to the left of your search results. I filtered mine to give me videos, only. See the little check mark next to video? That’s how you know which filter you’re using.

Hopefully, this will help you when you’re looking for more resources for your lesson.

Your turn. What tips would you add to my tutorial?
